If it is something I feel that I will not be competent to assist you with, I will attempt to help you find someone who can help you. I do have a network of therapist I can collaborate with and refer people to if I feel I cannot help an individual.
Medication?
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I cannot prescribe medication. However, I am willing to speak with your current medication prescriber and share information that may help them determine what medication would be best suited for you. Please be aware, this will require you to sign a Release of Information form that specifies what information I can share with your provider. Generally, I will not recommend specific medications to your provider but will offer them information to assist them in deciding what will serve you best.
